LED Grow Lights in Worcester County, MA
The light is the one purchase that decides how a grow turns out, and it is also the one that drives the electric bill — which matters in Massachusetts more than almost anywhere in the country. Our LED range runs from small clone bars to 700-watt-plus commercial fixtures, sorted by the tent they fit, and we'll put a meter under a couple of options so you can see the difference before you pay for it.

Milford store pageChoosing an LED for the tent you actually have
- Match watts to footprint. Roughly 100–300 watts covers a 2×2 or 2×4, 300–500 watts a 3×3 or 4×4, 500–800 watts a 4×4 pushed hard or a 4×8, and 800-plus is room territory. Our LED shelves are sorted by exactly those ranges.
- Efficacy is the electric bill. A fixture rated around 2.7–3.0 µmol/J puts noticeably more light on the canopy per kilowatt-hour than an older 2.0 fixture. With Massachusetts electricity rates, the better light usually pays for itself inside a couple of harvests.
- Dimming is not a gimmick. Clones and seedlings want a fraction of what flowering plants want. A dimmable fixture lets one light run the whole cycle in one tent instead of buying two.
- Heat in a small room. LEDs run cooler than HPS but they are not cold. In a closet or a 2×2 tent, a fixture that pulls 400 watts still needs the exhaust fan running. We size the fan to the light when we sell it.
- Stage matters. Blue-heavy bars for clones and veg, full-spectrum with deep red for flower, and under-canopy bars for dense plants. The stage shelves below sort the catalog that way.

Questions we get at the counter
What wattage LED do I need for a 4×4 tent?
Most 4×4 tents do well on 400–600 watts of modern LED. Go toward the top of that range if you run a full canopy in flower; a dimmable fixture lets you turn it down for veg.
Is LED really cheaper to run than HPS in Massachusetts?
Yes. A quality LED puts the same light on the canopy for roughly 30–40 percent less electricity than a comparable HPS, runs cooler so the fan and air conditioning work less, and Massachusetts electricity rates make that difference show up on the first bill.
Can I compare lights before I buy?
Yes. Come in with your tent size and we'll walk you through the options for it — call ahead if there's a specific fixture you want to see.
Do you buy and sell used grow lights?
Yes — we buy and sell used lights, dehumidifiers, controllers and trimmers at both stores. Bring yours in when you upgrade.
