Growing in Oxford

  • Older houses, stone basements. Oxford has a lot of older housing with damp cellars. Seal the grow in a tent, run a dehumidifier and a small oscillating fan, and the basement stops being a problem.
  • Wells toward Charlton and Sutton. The center is on town water; the outskirts are largely wells. We test EC and pH at the counter so you know your starting point.
  • Outdoor growing. Plenty of yard space in Oxford. Living soil, fabric pots, netting and organic pest control are the usual outdoor list — and we'll tell you what actually works on the August caterpillars.
