How it works
- Visit Matt’s Hydroponics — Milford or Webster, MA — any Friday.
- Spend $40 or more in store.
- Choose a free plant start from the day’s available selection.
- Walk out with a healthy, rooted start for your next home-growing project.

What’s in stock?
Our nursery partner, The Clone Foundry, brings in clean, verified plant starts through the week. What’s on the bench on any given Friday is whatever they’ve delivered, but you can expect:
- Aromatic hobby varieties
- High-performance, vigorous options
- New breeder drops and community favorites
- All health-screened and ready for home gardening projects
Selections are first come, first served. When they’re gone, they’re gone.

Free Plant-Start Friday is our way of giving back to the growers who keep New England’s plant community strong.
Want to learn to grow it yourself?
We teach free classes at the store, and you don’t need to buy anything to attend. Grow classes run every Saturday, 11 AM – 1 PM, and a free mushroom class runs once a month. Beginners are the point, not an afterthought.
- Four-class grow series — seed starting and cloning, veg, flower and harvest
- Certificate and a free clone when you finish all four
- Monthly mushroom class — substrate, sterile technique, fruiting and harvest
- Pizza afterwards, every time
