Luster Leaf® Rapitest® Soil pH Tester - Test pH levels

Description

Luster Leaf's Rapitest Soil pH Tester (model 1815) is a single-probe meter for checking the pH of your soil. A cleaning pad comes with it to keep the probe shiny for accurate readings.

How to use

  • Remove the top 2" of soil and crumble the soil below to a depth of 5". Take out stones and organic matter, then wet the soil to a mud consistency, ideally with rain or distilled water.
  • Lightly shine 4"-5" of the probe with the supplied pad, avoiding the bullet-shaped tip, and wipe it clean.
  • Push the probe straight down 4"-5" (never force it), twist it back and forth a few times, and read after 60 seconds.
  • For a second reading, wipe the probe and test a new spot. If the first reading was pH 7 or above, reshine the probe and read after 30 seconds; if it was below 7, don't reshine and read after 60 seconds.
