Description
Light Recipe Soil is a premium, plant- and mineral-based potting soil designed around Logan Labs soil testing and saturated paste testing. It is a clean, compost-based mix with a goal of testing high in available calcium and low in available sodium.
The recipe was developed through dozens of lab tests and real-world tests to work with all plants, keeping excess to a minimum and balance as the overall goal. Because it is so balanced, it can be run as a no-till soil with added topdressing, or as a highly steerable recipe for organic feeding. It suits both starting seeds and full-term growth.

Living soil disclaimer: Compost and potting soils are not sterilized during manufacturing, so this soil contains a plethora of life. That can include beneficial mites, fungus and microbes as well as, from time to time, unwanted fungus gnats. Unwanted life is kept to a minimum, but that cannot be guaranteed. Using beneficial insects to combat this possibility and/or learning best practices to avoid a population explosion is recommended.
