Grodan Stonewool (rockwool) is made from molten rock spun into cotton candy-like fibers and then compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs. Where other rockwool brand manufacturers cut all sizes from one batch of wool, Grodan is unique by making different types of fibers. The purpose is to support the requirement of the plant in the different plant stages. Grodan has a tremendous capacity for absorbing nutrient solution while retaining plenty of oxygen for rapid plant growth. Grodan comes in graduated sizes. Seedlings started in cubes are easily transferred to blocks and then onto slabs, if desired. Seedlings or cuttings started in the Grodan cubes can also be transplanted into more traditional planters and growing mediums.Grodan Blocks - Grodan Delta blocks are the most uniform blocks available on the market. They feature improved grooves at the base to promote better drainage. They are available in a large assortment of sizes and configurations to suit all types of plants. These growing blocks are used for direct sowing or "blocking on" of Macro and Multiblock raised plants. AO 36/40 plugs fit well into the hole sizes provided by the blocks. The blocks can then be placed on top of a slab to provide for a larger growing volume. Hugo is the largest of the growing blocks. It provides enough growing volume to support a larger plant, so it does not need to be placed on top of a slab.8 blocks per strip, 48 strips per case.
Mini-Blocks sit in a tray (flat) without support for easy starting of seeds and cuttings. These Mini-Blocks are individually wrapped in white plastic to minimize algae growth. Remove wrapping and transplant into any loose media such as Grow-Cubes or coconut fiber or leave wrapping on and set on top of a larger Gro-Block. Packed in easy tear-away strips, labeled with instructions.
New Grodan Improved! Improved product at current pricing. New density + new hydrophilic technology = better water distribution and root development. The uniform distribution of water and nutrients throughout the block allows for more efficient use of the entire substrate volume Full saturation of the blocks with no dry spots and improved EC control with less water is achieved in the rootzone due to the uniform, optimized wool resulting in a sustainable water and nutrient use. Improved “re-wettability” able to more easily increase water concentration in the substrate.

A-OK Starter Plugs for starting seeds and rooting of cuttings prior to plugging into the larger Gro-Blocks. A-OK Starter Plugs come labeled with instructions in a shrink-wrapped sheet that fits a standard 10 x 20 tray (flat).
GROW!T horticultural clay pebbles are made from 100% natural clay. They are clean, pH stable, and offer great aeration and drainage in hydroponics, especially in flood and drain, deep water culture, and drip feed systems. Due to their unique structure and ability to cover a large surface area, they offer the ideal environment to foster beneficial bacterial growth around the root zone, leading to naturally healthier plants.GROW!T Clay Pebbles benefits:Extremely stable in both pH and ECMade from 100% natural clayStrong structural integrity means that they are less likely to break and compact, which helps to prevent dripper systems from getting blockedPre-washed to aid in stabilityDrains freely and does not hold any excess water, providing good oxygen levels around the root; suitable for flood and drain systems, multi-pot and drip feed systemsPebble size 4mm - 16mmGROW!T Clay Pebbles can be used for:Aeration of growing media - ideal to mix into coco coir or soil to aid aerationDrainage - will hold water as well as offering great aeration properties and free drainingDecoration - looks great as a top dressing for pots and also helps to prevent evaporationHydroponics/hydroculture - used widely in hydroponic growing, they are ideal for flood and drain, deep water culture and drip feed systemsAquaponics - are also ideal to be used in aquaponic systemsWhen used in aeration of growing media, mix GROW!T horticultural clay pebbles into your coco coir or soil at a rate 4 parts clay to 7 parts soil to loosen up the structure, leading to better root development.
Grodan's Improved Gro-Blocks™ utilize improved hydrophilic technology and density for better water distribution and root development. Non-Shrink Wrapped
The original Hydroton® Brand expanded clay is a unique, lightweight expanded clay aggregate made in Germany. This natural clay is mined, formed into pellets, then kiln fired at high temperatures to cause the clay to expand into tough, lightweight balls. Hydroton® brand expanded clay is semi-porous and generally does not float like other products can. For best results, rinse all expanded clay before use. It is reusable as long as it is thoroughly cleaned between uses.
Grodan® Improved Gro-Slabs™ are engineered to provide enhanced water distribution and root development through advanced hydrophilic technology. Featuring the Advanced Wetting Agent, these slabs ensure uniform water content (WC) and electrical conductivity (EC) across the entire growing medium, allowing precise crop steering through irrigation strategies. The improved structure promotes fast rooting, vigorous plant growth, and increased resilience, leading to higher yields. With a vertical fiber orientation and high resaturation capacity, Grodan® Improved Gro-Slabs™ support consistent moisture distribution, ensuring optimal growing conditions throughout the plant's lifecycle.
