How To Use
Weight and Application Info:
Use about 6 Grams or 1/2 Tablespoon of Cover Crop Seeds for every square foot of soil surface area.
A 5 Gallon Home Depot bucket is 13" in Diameter and just under 1 Square foot.
So if you have 5-10 Gallon containers a 3lb Bag will work for about 150 Individual Containers.
If you are broadcasting on open land each pound will cover about 900 Square Feet.
That means that a 2 pound bag would also cover over 55 (8'x4') Raised Beds.

How To Use
The EarthBox manufacturers say that the product is designed to hold 2 cu ft of soil. We recommend filling it with our living organic soil.
NOTICE: The Earthbox will hold about 10 gallons of soil and can be mounded to hold even more, that being said, our 2 cubic feet of soil is closer to 15 gallons and just won't fit inside the container, you'll need about 1 - 1.5 bags of our living organic soil to fill one container depending on what you want to top dress with.

Looking for mulch but don't have a farm in your backyard?We have access to an abundance of straw and are happy to ship you some for your small garden. Larger gardens will benefit from sourcing locally. This barley straw is not certified organic but comes from a local farm. There isn't a need to spray for pests and most of the local farms use chicken manure as the cheapest means to fertilize etc. There will be some foreign dried plant material as there always is with any straw bales.Looking for something that has NO seeds? Check out our Blue Oyster Mushroom Straw Logs. They are made on an organic mushroom farm and pre-sterilized before they grow mushrooms on them.

1 Cubic Foot of straw doesn't weigh much but will easily mulch 6-12 plants depending on the depth of mulch and the size of the container. The straw is compressed when baled and we do not fluff it up before packaging. So 1 bag will hold more than you think.
