Description
Build A Soil's heaviest amended soil recipe, designed with the "water only" grower in mind. Based on Logan Labs soil testing, it is a soil with more of everything: compost based, without any dirty ingredients, and meant to last longer and push harder.
The 3.0 recipe is the richest and most loaded-up of the Build A Soil potting soils, and it is still balanced enough for most plants. It suits growers who want everything already in the soil when they open the bag. If you are used to Super Soil, it will perform as you would expect. Excellent for flowering and full-term growth.

Good to know
Potential to heat. This recipe is pre-"cooked" until it ramps up and back down in temperature, but growers should still make 100% sure before they plant. Because multiple composts and ingredients are mixed together, this potting soil can heat up once it is combined into larger volumes and watered in. Double check soil temperatures before planting. This is especially likely when combining over 10 cubic foot soil bags into a new container.
Living soil. The compost and potting soils are not sterilized during manufacturing, so this soil contains plenty of life. That can include beneficial mites, fungi and microbes and, from time to time, unwanted fungus gnats. Efforts are made to keep anything unwanted to a minimum, but that can't be guaranteed. Beneficial insects, along with learning best practices to avoid a population explosion, are the recommended way to handle this.
