Build-A-Soil's BIG 6 is a micronutrient blend with humic acid, custom formulated by Dr. Faust at Faust Bio-Ag. Its six micronutrients are balanced and chelated through Faust Ful-Humix humic acid so that safe amounts can be used. This listing is the 1 kilo size.

Why these six

The blend came out of thousands of soil tests that kept showing soils very high in iron but very low in manganese and five other micronutrients: boron, cobalt, copper, molybdenum and zinc. Regaining balance in the iron to manganese relationship and bypassing the limiting factors of the other five puts you in a position to increase yield and disease resistance.

If you have been using TM-7, this is a good time to drop the iron and ramp up the manganese by using BIG 6.

Non-plant food ingredients: humic acid 40% and fulvic acid 10.5%.

Derived from: boron, cobalt sulfate, copper sulfate, ferrous sulfate, manganese sulfate, sodium molybdenate and zinc sulfate, chelated with humic and fulvic acids derived from fresh water cretaceous humate deposits.

How to use

Seed activation: for vegetable seeds, soak 72 hours at 1/8 tsp per gal. For other seeds, soak for 24 hours at the same ratio.
Soil and container plants: 1/4 - 1/2 tsp per gal of irrigation solution.
Hydroponic: 1/4 - 1/2 tsp per gal of nutrient solution used in the reservoir. Use with every change. Top-offs can use 1/4-1/2 of the normal rate.
Foliar rates: 1/4 tsp per gal every 7-10 days.
Field use: 2-4 pounds per acre every 3-6 weeks.
Pre-plant soil conditioning/bioremediation: 5-10 pounds per acre.

1/4 tsp = 1g and 1/2 tsp = 2g.

Making a concentrated liquid solution

Add 300 grams of Big 6 or TM-7 to one gallon of hot water (110 degrees F) and agitate.
After 1 hour, all undissolved solids will have settled.
Apply the liquid solution at a rate of slightly less than 1/2 ounce per gallon of water.

Good to know

Approximately 15% is insoluble and can be cast in compost or garden.
Exceeding application rates can cause irregular growth.
Store dry and away from excessive heat.
